CEO & President
Marc Desmarais is a Founder of Clairus Group and serves as its Chief Executive Officer, as well as CEO of Uniban Canada Inc. Prior to forming Clairus Group with his founding partners, Marc has been innovating and building successful brands in the automotive and claims management field during a distinguished 25-year career in Canada and the United States. In 2000, Marc joined Groupe Vitro Plus as President, envisioning and leading the creation of a vertically integrated company and national expansion of its brands across Canada. Marc also conceived and developed Uniban’s technology-enabled claims services business into a leading provider for insurance companies throughout Canada. Always environmentally conscious, Marc created North America’s first program for recycling consumer windshields, demonstrating a commitment to good corporate citizenship. Marc has served as Chairman of the Board of Conseil Québécois de la franchise and as a Member of the Advisory Committee of Le Groupe Touchette.
Mario Jutras is a Founder of Clairus Group and serves as its Vice-President, as well as CEO of PH Vitres d’auto. Prior to forming Clairus Group with his founding partners, Mario began in the company that his father, Mr. Paul-Henri Jutras, established in 1967, and Mario has transformed the Company from a single shop in the countryside to Canada’s leading independent auto glass business. Today PH Vitres d’auto operates an integrated auto glass distribution business with over 8,000 customers. Always intently focused on customer service and on the true success of his customers and his employees, Mario is an inspirational leader, and his presence and wisdom are valued throughout the Clairus organization. In the community, Mario has received many honors for his entrepreneurship, social involvement and community generosity.
